a decent stay
friendly stafflovely foodlate check-inmissing fan
the staff were very friendly and helpful (always a plus). we had an evening meal and breakfast. the food was lovely and the portions were great.
the check-in time was 4pm which is far too late. i also found that no fan was in the room, despite it stating it had one, and i was told there wasn't one available.

The room was a nice size and very clean. I found the bed really comfy for a good night's sleep. The staff were very friendly and helpful ALL the time.
The facilities seemed a bit dated. The decor could use a freshening up. There was no air con in the building , made it uncomfortable during meals. The road outside was NOISY throughout the night.

mixed feelings about this hotel
non-functioning televisionlimited hot water
The television in the room didn't work, despite reporting it immediately after check-in. staff attempted a fix, but nothing changed . It was a real letdown. also, hot water was only available at specific times, i couldn't shower when i wanted after a long journey. the limited hot water and non-functioning tv affected my experience.

This hotel provide free parking. Breakfast was amazing with plenty of options. The hotel was in excellent condition. It was very clean. The room was super clean with tea making facilities.
The shower cubicle felt a little tight.

the breakfast offered a very good choice, and the portions were generous. i especially enjoyed the eggs florentine one morning, they were prepared with care. the staff are helpful, and i had no trouble arranging taxis to and from the open air theatre, it was effortless.
the check in time was at 4pm, i found this quite late. i wanted to check out early at 7am, but no one was available to receive the key until 8.30am. this restricted my plans for an early start.

the hotel benefits from a convenient bus service, with buses running every thirty minutes in both directions. the bus stop is only a short, two minute walk away.
